New studies have shown an association between hormone replacement therapy testosterone (testosterone) will increase the risk of heart disease. For example, a study in 2014 reported that testosterone therapy may increase the risk of heart attack in men with 65 years of age or older, as well as to the young man who had a history of heart disease before. Another study in 2013 found that the frequency of death and heart problems in men with coronary artery disease who received therapy testosterone. Also, the study of the use of testosterone in older men in 2012 has been halted since the beginning because of the man who received testosterone therapy have a high frequency of heart problems than men who received benefits.
However, the last two studies also reported a decrease in the risk of death in men who received testosterone therapy than those who did not use.
As a result, further research is necessary to determine the safety of the use of testosterone therapy to treat older men deal with declining hormone levels related to age. Currently, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is monitoring the risk of stroke, heart attack and death in men who use drugs testosterone products approved for use by the FDA itself.
